A Great Necessity For Heaven

Pastor George Thomason, from Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in La Mirada, preaching John 3:1-15 as Jesus has a conversation with a Pharisee that comes secretly at night to talk with Jesus.

Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:4-6, ESV)

Jesus reveals to Nicodemus the great necessity for entering heaven and union with God. We can rejoice together that our Lord and God brings the new birth to sinners like us!
