The Song of Redemption
Preacher: Todd Odenath Series: Exodus Scripture: Exodus 15:1–21
After witnessing God’s mighty deliverance at the Red Sea, Israel’s first response was not silence, but singing.
“Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying,
‘I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously;
the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.’” (Exodus 15:1)
In Exodus 15:1-21, we explore what this song teaches us about the place of singing in the life of God’s people, and how our worship—even our singing—is shaped by God’s powerful redemption. From the shores of the Red Sea to the songs of heaven in Revelation, Scripture calls the redeemed to lift their voices in praise.
