The Tabernacle
Preacher: Todd Odenath Series: Exodus Scripture: Exodus 25:23– 26:37
We often think about the purpose of life in terms of peace, stability, family, or comfort. Scripture does not deny these as blessings, but it presses us to a deeper and more lasting purpose. As the Westminster Shorter Catechism puts it, our chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
In this sermon, we continue our study in Exodus by looking at Exodus 25:23–26:37 and see that God gives His people a picture of what that purpose looks like. Through the design of the tabernacle, we see how God intends for us to enjoy Him forever.
We will consider how this passage points us beyond itself to Christ, His church, and the final dwelling of God with His people.
