True Sons of Abraham

How much does ancestry determine who we are and where we belong? In Galatians 3:6–9, Paul reveals an unexpected family line—one defined not by blood, nationality, religious heritage, or obedience to the law, but by faith.

Abraham was not justified because he was a heroic law-keeper. He believed God, and righteousness was counted to him. Those who share Abraham’s faith are his true children because they trust the same gospel promise fulfilled in Jesus Christ. God has one gospel, one saving family, and one blessing shared by believers from every nation. Through faith in Christ, sinners become true sons and daughters of Abraham and heirs of God’s promise.
